Last long practice before the actual half-marathon next Sunday(17th), completed about 19K, longest run thus far! Analyzed my running log since starting my training in mid-Oct., there’s a slight chance I can complete the half-marathon next Sunday if I can continue this upward trend…

First running practice in 2016, ran more than 16K, a personal record!

It’s not easy to pick up the momentum again once you lose it. I skipped my running practices last week due to laziness, and when I tried picking up again this morning, I could only run 4K, half of what I had planned to run. But it’s good that at least I tried picking up […]
Running
Completed 14K, my longest run ever!! That’s 2/3 of a half-marathon, 1/3 more to train up in a month’s time… Running long distance doesn’t seem as bad when I run slowly at my own pace.
Running
Ran about 6K in the morning, same distance as Tuesday’s run but with slightly improved speed.
Running
Ran about 6K this morning, will try to get back to a regular 3-run per week training routine this week.
Running
Got up a little late again this morning, the cooler evening temperature made sleeping better though it was a nightmarish kinda night. I insisted on doing my running practice because I couldn’t do it tomorrow morning. Ran only 4K, with improved speed.
Running
12.35k! The cloudy cool weather certainly helped, thankful. I was thinking the world will be a better place if I can accomplish today’s training. Will icebergs stop melting? Atmospheric CO2 recede below 400ppm levels? Will terrorists repent and become good guys? Probably not. But I suppose some dumb optimism wouldn’t hurt.
Running
Another upset, ran only 4k this morning. I couldn’t blame it on the scorching sun this time as it was occasionally cloudy with comfortable breezes. The excuse of the day was that I was a little worried my body hadn’t regenerated all the blood cells lost from the biennial body check yesterday. Hopefully I’ll be […]
Running
Covered 10.5k today, still slow and tired, but felt considerably better than last week’s run. Running seems to bring out a little positive vibe in a world of terrorist attacks and melting icebergs… Stay strong everyone!
