Silent Night
It’s becoming my annual tradition to stay home and design a Christmas card on Silent Nights. It’s one of the rare times each year that I would dig out my watercolors and Indian Ink and re-live the time when I would work late nights to finish my cartooning assignments, those were some good times…
Detour 2011
Went to Central to renew my passport today, I then had lunch with a friend who works nearby. It’s not that often that I cross the Victoria Habour, so I made the most of it and visited the Detour 2011. It’s nice seeing local artists’ creative use of ‘useless’ materials to make their wonderful installations. […]
Leaflet Design
Created vector graphics based on the previous hand-drawn illustrations, updated the leaflet design according to the change requests, and finally printed it off from my inkjet printer. Reclaimed my bedroom so I no longer had to sleep in my home studio, it’s nice to be able to physically separate the work and rest area once again. Had kept […]
A New Start… (Postponed)
Tonight was the first fellowship gathering for a new year (fiscal), got assigned to a new group, will probably need some time to get acquainted with the new b/s. Ever since the beginning of the year, I’ve had this idealistic but unwritten/unplanned goal in mind – to finish all school work and start everything new […]

Nature is a limitless source of design inspirations. Can cities be designed to be sustainable by mimicking natural ecosystems that is inherently healthy, zero waste, self-regulating, resilient and self-renewing, and adaptable? A very appealing concept, but seems to be lacking concrete measurable progress indicators. Played soccer with my highschool friends tonight, perhaps my last social […]

Though this book wasn’t as relevant to my dissertation as I hoped, it was still an interesting read. It got be started on understanding the economic and social sides of sustainability. While reading the book, I couldn’t stop imagining myself pursuing a career in sustainable design.
