A Gloomy Day
After a couple of hot sunny days, the thick clouds returned, together with strengthening wind and appreciably cooler temperature. Weather seems to have its own way of showing empathy to the victims of Japan’s earthquake. Went to the university library and borrowed the last batch of books (possibly) for my dissertation. About 2 weeks left […]

A rather hot day, but managed to finish reading a relatively short book in my steamy studio. The subject of the book isn’t quite directly related to my dissertation, but it introduced many interesting concepts such as the EKC curve, which could come in handy when I start composing my manuscript.

The research phase is taking much longer than I anticipated… I’m thankful that I was able to free myself from distractions and […]

The cold and gloomy weather in the last couple of days was particularly suited to do some reading in my cozy studio. Felt like I’m finally able to switch to full research mode for my dissertation. I desperately need the concentration if I were to complete it by the end of March as planned. Had […]

Though this book wasn’t as relevant to my dissertation as I hoped, it was still an interesting read. It got be started on understanding the economic and social sides of sustainability. While reading the book, I couldn’t stop imagining myself pursuing a career in sustainable design.
