Did some website work today prior to having a little fun with the 3D printer. It took less time than expected to setup the printer, I was able to quickly make my first 3D print using a sample print file that came with the machine.
It was a bit of a transformative experience seeing the nozzle maneuver quickly and systematically while oozing thin threads of plastic inside the machine. The sample print job was a nut and bolt and they actually fit together almost perfectly. Although there’s much room for improvement on the machine built, print time, and print quality, I think I had just witnessed the future of manufacturing and customization.
There’s much to be learnt in this 3D printing medium…
