A good friend was in the neighbourhood to do some work, I decided to take the meet up opportunity to try out some interesting cafes nearby. We first went to a cafe that sells designer goods, but was disappointed seeing the “closed” sign at the door. We saw employees having a meeting inside, they obviously noticed us and a couple of other possible customers outside but simply neglected us, how rude! We then went to try another cafe that dedicates a big area selling art supplies, they seemed to be encouraging artists to draw and paint while slowing enjoying their coffee, interesting idea. While we were in the Kwun Tong area, my friend introduced me to his friend who opened a cooking studio nearby a couple of years ago.
After the cafe hopping expedition, I rushed back to the studio to pick up some stuff before heading for my entry-level barista exam in the evening. Didn’t have time to review the exam preparation video in the afternoon, but thankful that I managed to pass the exam. It’s one tiny step closer to my recent “dream” of opening a cafe!
Went for a celebration drink with my friend, TY neighbour, and classmate (both barista course and high school), we had an unexpectedly long and enjoyable conversation. My “dream” of connecting lives over coffee seemed to be showing some promise!
