Christmas 2014

Didn’t join the Christmas service at church this year because the doctor advised me to avoid crowds while I’m still continuing the medication.

Instead, we had the rare occasion to meet up our uncle and aunt for dim sum.  They had been battling with some serious illness in recent years, it was good to see them looking healthy today.

After dim sum, I invited my sister, brother-in-law, and my 2 little nieces from Toronto to visit my studio.  I requested my 2 nieces to each draw me a picture to post on the wall, and they happily did so.  After about an hour, they left to the nearby malls to kill some time before meeting up my other sister and brother-in-law for dinner.

I stayed behind in the studio and spent a quiet Christmas afternoon folding paper… counting my days… contemplating…

Don’t know when I started feeling an urge to find someone to spend the holiday with, but that desire seems to be the strongest this year.  Perhaps the Adult-onset Still’s Disease (AOSD) had made be quickly mature into an adult in mere weeks.  Whatever the reason, I really hope to find someone right to share the holidays and my whole life with, and I pray that God would guide the way.

Yet, it’s Christmas today and I really should spend more time to think about the humble and celebratory birth of Jesus more than two thousand years ago…
