Found a little info about my illness – Adult-onset Still’s Disease (AOSD, http://www.m.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/adult-onset-stills-disease). The very rare disease is without a known cause nor is it preventable. It’s not infectious either, so there’s no need to be worried if you happened to bump into me. =)
The doctor said that the medication I’m continuing taking for the coming short period works by suppressing my immune system, so I’m more susceptible to external infection. I’m thus advised not to join gatherings with many people. It looks like I’ll be spending a quiet and warm Christmas and New Year with my family this year, I think this is a good thing.
