Career Plan

After ~10 years of post-secondary study, I’ve finally decided to frame and hang all the grad certificates in the studio.  If what Einstein once said “imagination is more important than knowledge” is true, why have I spent so much time and money gaining knowledge?  Not sure how to answer that, but I’m thankful for the years of joy in learning new things and meeting good friends along the way.

While I’ll never stop learning, it’s probably about time that I get serious about my career.  Without actively seeking for work opportunities, I’ve been asked a few times in the last few weeks about possible web design/programming services, I’ll take that as a sign to work in that field.  I’m not entirely passionate about I.T. work, but it does pay for the bread.  I’ll first focus on starting up a business with web design/programming, then I’ll use the extra money to invest and learn the things I’m more passionate about (R&D, design, art,…).

Talked to my family about this plan over dinner tonight, they seemed to be very supportive, I’m grateful for that.
