Went to see a small show organized by Wacom this afternoon, it was quite fascinating seeing some famous designers (illustrators, comic artist, 3D animator, etc.) demo a small part of their daily workflow. About a couple of weeks ago, my good friend helped me buy the software they were demoing for a fraction of the cost, and it just so happened that she received my copy today! Looking forward to trying it out.
Came across the well-known interview question “Where do you see yourself in 5 years?” last night while going through my daily feeds, and I started thinking about my career again. Wouldn’t it be nice to be like some of the illustrators who demoed today, to spend my life drawing, painting, and doing creative works? But I really doubt that I can make a living doing art, some things may just be better left as a hobby.
I shall spend some time in this holiday season to think about my career…
