Typhoon No.8
If I remember correctly, this is the first time the typhoon no.8 signal was issued since I returned to HK 2 years ago. Offices and schools were closed, but for people who works from home, today is just another regular work day. I managed to get some work done in this crazy weather.
A Case of the Mondays
My legs are still sore from jogging 4k last night, still not quite sure if I can train up myself to complete a 10k run in about a month’s time… I don’t know if it’s just my body calling quit, I couldn’t push myself to do any work today. I don’t feel like dragging my […]
dEEsigners’ Headquarter
Took me about a week to design a 3D model of our new dEEsigners’ Headquarter. Incorporated into it some of the environmental design strategies I’ve learnt through school, guess it wasn’t a complete waste of time and money to pursue my last M. Sc. degree… Next step is to furnish our new office and arrange […]
Aquarium
The weather is considerably cooler today, I have been waiting for this sub-30 degrees weather to start my dwarf shrimp aquarium, a small (30x30x30cm) tank I had setup in my bedroom about 2 weeks ago. Bought a batch of 20 cherry shrimps and acclimatized them before setting them free in the tank. They seem to […]
Mid-Autumn 2011
The weather was great tonight, no rain, and no clouds to block the brightly-lit and perfectly round moon. Had dinner with my family at my brother’s place downstairs, I think it was the same last year, this is becoming another one of our family traditions! Slightly differently this year is that my father invited his […]
New Kettle
Even knowing my strong objection, my mother decided to hire a housekeeper to clean our flat on a regular basis, and today is her first day. I hated the idea for 2 main reasons – one, I seriously don’t see a need to have our house cleaned so often (3 times a week!), and two, […]
Badminton Competition
Joined a badminton competition with my friends this afternoon, I never am too keen in joining any kind of competitions, but it’s different when I’m playing as a team. We had lost all 5 sets, not a single game was won, a total lost! I was quite disappointed at myself because even though I’ve been […]
Aquarium
It’s becoming one of my most look-forward-to weekend events now – tending my studio’s aquarium! Spent an entire afternoon today and did a thorough cleaning of the aquarium, removed the algae that carpeted much of the stone wall and sediments, hopefully it won’t come back again. Don’t know why there’s so much nutrients in the […]
Google Tools
It’s been a long time since I did any kind of javascript coding, can’t even remember how to do setup an array()! Did some proof-of-concepts for a potential client, it’s my first time trying to embed Google tools in webpages, I’m amazed at how powerful and ease-of-use their web APIs are!
A New Beginning
Today is the great back-to-school day for my nephews and niece, I’m also marking this day as the beginning of my journey back into the real world, saying goodbye to the tender embrace of academia. In the process of starting a company, something I had been wanting to try for many years. Excited but at […]
