Flood in Queensland
Just read the story of Noah’s Ark for my daily devotion, images of the Queensland’s flood from the media kept flashing in my head. I pray for those who are suffering and struggling to stay alive. God, may you remember your everlasting covenant with humankind when a rainbow appears. Please have mercy on your creation.
Green Building
Read the <<Green Building Award 2010>> earlier, nice to see green buildings gaining momentum. Also skimmed through the BEAM+ documents in the last couple of days in preparation for a workshop starting this weekend, I can see how these certification schemes can suck the life out of architects’ imagination and creativity – luring them to […]
Soccer
First time playing 5-man soccer on a rooftop, and first time using my new cleats. Even more interesting was the fact that we were playing outdoor in one of the coldest nights! Actually, it wasn’t so bad once we were warmed up. I’m thankful for a bunch of crazy friends who would play soccer in […]
Cold Night
The temperature is forecasted to drop to 7 degrees overnight in the urban areas, and even lower for rural areas. I’m thankful for a shelter with a cozy bed. I pray for the less fortunate who can’t afford a shelter or warm clothing. May they find the timely opened emergency shelters. And may God be […]
A Life of Thanksgiving
Saw this presentation by the author of the 1000 Awesome Things blog, reminded me that there are countless little things in life to be thankful for as long as we have a positive Attitude, Awareness like a 3 y/o, and genuine Authenticity to be oneself (the 3As). I want to practice living a life of […]
Fellowship Retreat
Got back from a 2-day retreat with my fellowship. The lack of sleep got me daydreaming most of the time in the camp. Quite tired this morning, realized how badly I missed my bed at home! Despite the tiredness, I’m thankful for the opportunity to get to know b/s more through their sharings and prayers.
Green Wall
Had a chance to visit a large indoor green wall installation designed by Patrick Blanc tonight. I wasn’t as excited as I thought I would be, but it’s still a very pleasant experience. I want to experiment with a small version of this green wall in my studio later, without using artificial lights of course! […]

Thanksgiving
Had a bit too many gatherings last week. Not particularly fond of going out into the crowd, but I do cherish the opportunities to catch up with friends I don’t often see during the year. Life is finally back to normal, and I can once again sit quietly in my studio to do some planning […]
