I like reading about the life and work of artists, especially those with a sense of humor. Malcolm Wells (a.k.a Mac Wells) is one of those rare few I truly admire. I love his style of writing – personal, honest, truthful, with plenty of humor/sarcasm and to-the-point cartoons/illustrations. It was only by luck that I stumbled upon such a rare jewel. After reading 3 of his books, I’m pretty much convinced that the only way to go is down! Oh, did I not mention what Mr. Mac does? He’s an architect who advocates earth-sheltered houses – a gentle type of architecture that may stand in harmony with nature.
